First night of the All Ages Event Camp 2016
WELCOME!
Please note:
The cross country field is CLOSED to horses for the wet season (people and dogs are permitted on the field). No riding on the field at all please, even around the perimeter and especially no riding on the private gravel road that marks the north edge of the cross country field.  We wish to be good neighbors and the gravel road is NOT part of the Park.

Information:

Fall/ Winter/Early Spring Field Closure
When the moisture in the soil approaches a certain level, we remove the portable jumps and close the field to horses for safety and to prevent damage to the footing.  Field condition information is on the top right of the home page.

About the Friends of Sunset Farm:
The Friends of Sunset Farm, a non-profit organization, was formed for the purpose of providing assistance to the Whatcom County Parks and Recreation Department in order to support, maintain and fundraise for the Whatcom County public equestrian park  known as “Sunset Farm Park."

The Parks Department has had a very limited budget for Sunset Farm for a number of years, and is only able to provide a minimum of mowing around the parking area and the porta-potty.  All other maintenance and improvements are provided for through the Friends of Sunset Farm.

You can view more information about the park at the  Whatcom County Parks website.

Location:  7981 Blaine Rd., Blaine, WA 98230  (map below)

NOTE:  Please follow the rules posted at the park (see copy at the bottom of this page) - especially regarding the jumps, so it will remain a fun and safe place to ride.

As always, the arena, round pen and trails will remain open all winter. Access the trails by riding down the gravel lane alongside the round corral, stay on the south side of the paddocks and skirt the south edge of the field and the ditch line.  The trail head is just west of the ditch line.
